Sabine Weiland, social scientist, received her PhD from the University
of Goettingen, Germany. She worked at the University of Hamburg in various
research projects on the sustainability transformation of society with
a focus on European countries, i.a. in the fields of agricultural policy,
nature protection and science policy studies.
Since September 2007 she has been working in the EU FP6 project “Reflexive
Governance in the Public Interest” (Refgov), Subunit “Global
Public Services and Common Goods”. She is currently conducting a
study on innovations in environmental governance in forestry.
