BY CAR

You should ask me for a parking permit beforehand. You might wish to download a map or itinerary on your PDA. (This site will give you a shorter but slower path than mine.) Exit from E411 (Brussels-Luxemburg) at exit 14 "Bouge-Namur". Go to "Namur". After 2.5 km, under the rail bridge, turn right (to "Gare"). Use the right lane so as to go under a bridge. You will indeed pass by the station. Then take a short tunnel and just after turn left (to "Facultes") between the river Sambre and a park. Take the first left and then right. After a few meters you will find on the left the entrance of the parking lot of the Institut. Park there, go out by the exit for cars to reach the entrance of the Institut. Enter it (of course), take the lift hidden on your left, go to 4th floor. Go in front, then right. My office is n.409 in this corridor. The seminars take place on the 3rd floor.

BY PLANE+TRAIN

Brussels national airport/Zaventem BRU

after exiting the customs, take a rolling staircase (at your left) going down to the train station. Take any train, change in "Gare du Nord" for a train to Namur. They are 2 trains per hour. The schedule of trains is available from the Belgian Railways. If these links do not work, you can use the following approximations: the schedule repeats hourly (roughly) from 5:XX until 22:XX. The time of the first trains are:

5:37 at airport -> 7:05 in Namur (on week days only)
6:02 at airport -> 7:35 in Namur

For returning, the schedule also repeats hourly:

Namur 5:55 -> 7:23 Airport
Namur 4:25 -> 5:58 Airport

Thus, for instance you can expect a train at 11:37 at the airport reaching Namur at 13:05.

Charleroi/Gosselies/Brussels-South CRL

Buy a joint bus+train ticket (10 €) inside the airport. Take bus A or 68 (each half hour, takes a quarter) to Charleroi-Sud station. There, take the train to Namur. At Namur Station, go out: If you go out at the end of the pedestrian subway, you already crossed the street. Else, cross the street at the lights on your right. After crossing continue on the right. Turn left just before the car tunnel. Cross the rue de Bruxelles at the traffic lights and go down in Rempart de la Vierge , along the park. (Might be clearer on the map.) An entrance on your left is marked "Faculte de Droit"; enter it, cross the parking lot, go down the street (rue Grandgagnage) a bit, you'll find the entrance of the Institut. Enter it (of course), take the lift hidden on your left, go to 4th floor. Go in front, then right. My office is n.409 in this corridor.
