FOREWORD

The International Association for Cybernetics is organizing its 14th International Congress on Cybernetics which will be held from August 21 to 25. The Congress is organized in symposia, with each having a special subject. The chairperson of the symposium proposes the theme, organizes the communications and leads the debate.

The registration fees cover participation at the Congress, the preparatory documents, a reception and the coffee breaks. Payment can be made as follows :

PROCEEDINGS

The pre-August 25, 1995 subscription price for the Proceedings is fixed at BEF 6,000. Only those papers which have been approved and effectively presented to the Congress by the author will be published.

LAST CALL FOR PAPERS

The authors are invited to send two copies of a 1-page summary to the Secretariat. The deadline for receiving the summaries is fixed at May 31, 1995. The proposed papers will be submitted for approval to the chairperson of the selected symposium. The full text, which must not exceed 6 typed, single-spaced pages, is to be remitted by June 30,1995. An author may not present more than two papers.

LUNCH FACILITIES

Lunches will be served at the restaurant "L'Arsenal" with fixed charges of 330 belgian francs for each meal. Meal tickets are provided by the Secretariat. They must be ordered and paid in advance (see payment section).

MEETING LANGUAGES

English and French are the official languages. Those symposia dealing with « Cybernetics and Human Sciences » may use ILO.

ACCOMODATION

People wishing to stay in student’s rooms must send their written request before May 31. Please specifiy the arrival and departure dates. No confirmation of the reservation before payment.
